MATRIX is a national company providing camps, logistics, and aviation management services to clients in the resource and service sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Finishing Carpenter.
In this temporary, project based role, you will be responsible for the installation and finishing of various interior components including trim, doors, cabinetry, and other finishing work, on stand alone homes being built for the provincial government. Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine materials required and assembly instructions.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials according to specifications.
- Install and finish various interior components and fixtures including trim, doors, cabinetry, and hardware.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of workmanship.
- Adhere to project deadlines and schedules.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Proven past experience (minimum 3 years) as a Finishing Carpenter or similar role.
- Knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- WHMIS certification is an asset.
- Standard First Aid certification is an asset.
Benefits
Thi job is anticipated to last 3-4 weeks consecutively, working a Monday-Friday schedule, 12 hours per day.
Salary Range
$375/day - $475/day depending on skills, experience and red seal certification.
