The Supply Chain Associate reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works closely with many operational teams within Alstar.

In this role, Supply Chain Associate will support Field Services, Buyers and department managers with daily activities and administrative functions. The Associate will work with vendors and the scheduling teams to assist with the status of material items.

What we're looking for from you – If this describes you, we'd love to meet!

  • Previous data entry experience is required
  • Use and knowledge of an ERP System is an asset
  • Experience with Material Test Reports (MTRs) is an asset
  • Familiarity with G-Suite (Gmail, Docs and Sheets - similar to Microsoft Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Must be well organized and capable of maintaining daily records and logs
  • Knowledge of materials including valves, fittings, flanges and pipe is a strong asset
  • Team player and capable of working individually when required
  • Able to troubleshoot and investigate to solve problems

Accountabilities:

  • Support and process field orders and arrange shipments of goods to work sites
  • Support Buyers by assisting in Material Take Offs/Bill Of Material data entry for import into the ERP
  • Ensure that MTRs and documentation for MRRs are available for QC and Receiving
  • Work closely with vendors to get timely delivery information on shipments of goods to update the warehouse or field site for delivery planning
  • Provide updates of POs for scheduling
  • Have a good understanding of Vista or Portal reporting to answer questions or resolve issues
  • Keep a record in the control log of all anomalies in the processes
  • Maintain files, systems, work areas and documentation in an organized and structured manner
  • Review and resolve 3-way match issues for Project Purchases
  • Support pre-qualifying vendors and set-ups in ERP, when needed
  • Handle material and prepare for delivery, when needed
