Daily Schedule/Shift: Primarily day shift (7am-3pm), but must be flexible to work off-shifts as necessary to support project and business needs. Overtime as required.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer to support Automotive General Assembly tooling for the maintenance and production requirements. The main function of a manufacturing process engineer is to direct the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Propose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.

· Meet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

· Coordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost) initiatives.

· Evaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.

· Provide technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.

· Works closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.

· Analyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution.

· Communicate with internal and external business units.

· Support plants in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.

· Support and implement the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experiences:

· 3+ years' process engineer experience in manufacturing, 5-7 years preferred.

· Expert knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.

· Basic knowledge of tooling processes.

· Basic knowledge of automotive industry processes.

· Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Knowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tool.

· Ability to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

· Specific experience in pneumatics, robotics, PLC familiarity.

· Experience working in automotive manufacturing.

· Experience working in GM factories.

Education and Training:

· Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline.
