We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for North America Payroll full-cycle processing including compliances.

What you'll do to be successful in this role…

  • Responsible forfull cycle payroll functions for Canada and USA including processing, journal entries, month-end/year-end reconciliations and compliances.
  • Validates, reviews and reconciles the hours from the timekeeping system to final pay register.
  • Ensure that all payments, deductions, remittances and dues are accurate, submitted on time and are in accordance with Federal and Provincial legislations.
  • Prepare reports for third party remittances and various payroll reports.
  • Process payments to benefit providers and ensure proper accounting reconciliation.
  • Process payout requests, adjustments, deductions and garnishments as necessary.
  • Responsible for all payroll related account reconciliations and clearing in SAP.
  • Assist VP, Finance on Compensation Budget and Forecast process.
  • Support special projects and other duties as required.

Requirements

What you'll bring…

  • At least 3 years payroll administration experience in multi-state/province employee base.
  • Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Self-motivated and work effectively under pressure while being able to prioritize team efforts, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications especially excel and various payroll systems; working knowledge of UKG/Ulti-Pro preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field; Payroll certification is an asset.
