The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Mutual Fund Analyst to join the Operations Asset Management team.

This role requires you to perform essential duties 1-3 days per week in your assigned Aviso Office. We are at 1111 West Georgia St, Vancouver, BC.

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Mutual Fund Analyst will be responsible for the processing of registered plan products with a primary focus on Registered Education Savings Plans and Group Retirement Saving Plans. The successful candidate is collaborative, determined to acquire knowledge and experience and has the enthusiasm and energy to work in a dynamic environment.

What your day looks like:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely execution of mutual fund trades and documents received from financial institutions, dealers, advisors and investors
  • Deals directly with dealers, credit unions and financial institutions inquiries in all matters relating to mutual fund transactions, holdings and reporting requirements
  • Coordinates the work flow of all incoming mutual fund transactions via e-mail, fax or mail
  • Ensures the timely distribution of monthly reports
  • Responsible for completing daily, month end, quarter end and annual tasks within prescribed deadlines
  • Actively participate in department meetings and provides recommendations on improving department processes and procedures
  • Keeps informed of regulatory, industry and trustee updates
  • Participate in department strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Completion of post-secondary education
  • 3 years related work experience, preferably in Registered plans
  • Completion of CIFOC Operations or CSC course is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Application of strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience with Unitrax is an asset
  • Strong computer skills (word, excel, outlook, adobe)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and provide solutions
  • Fluent Communications in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $52,000 - $63,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
