PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Traffic Control Planner to join our engineering team on a full time basis. We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.
Responsibilities:

· Basic knowledge of traffic control strategies and experience working with municipal and provincial standards

· Work on all aspects of functional designs, detailed horizontal and vertical geometry, and conformance with City, Transportation Association of Canada and Alberta Transportation standards.

· Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.

· Interface with senior personnel to resolve potential technical and project issues.

· Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.

· Coordinate with other business units to verify their project design requirements and delivery schedule.

Qualifications:

· Experience working with a team of drafters to produce traffic control drawing and give direction to the team.

• Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an attention to detail are essential.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
• Knowledge of vehicle tracking and Google Earth is an asset.
• Previous experience working with the City of Calgary or municipalities in North America would be considered an asset.
• Previous experience with drafting software such as RapidPlan and AutoCAD
