The Mi'kmawey Debert Cultural Centre (MDCC) is a visionary project endorsed by all thirteen Mi'kmaw Chiefs in Nova Scotia, under the administration of The Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq (CMM). The MDCC aims to be a dynamic cultural hub, attracting over 60,000 visitors annually, and is dedicated to preserving Mi'kmaw heritage, protecting ancestral sites, and fostering educational and public programming. Guided by the MDCC Elders' Advisory Council, the Centre is committed to the respectful commemoration of Indian Residential School survivors and the promotion of reconciliation through community engagement and knowledge sharing.
