Immigrant Migrant Women's Association of Halifax (IMWAH) was founded by immigrant and migrant women participating in the Women's Action Coalition of Nova Scotia (WACNS) and the ISANS Immigrant Women's Leadership Training. Since 2012, IMWAH has organized several community initiatives to increase public awareness of gender equality issues facing immigrant, migrant women and girls and to promote their contributions to diverse professions in Nova Scotia.
