Ability NB is looking for a Director of Development. We offer our staff a gold standard health and dental package, condensed four day work weeks in the summer, 3 weeks paid vacation to start, time off over the Christmas season, and a matching RRSP contribution plan for up to 3% of your salary.

Ability New Brunswick is looking for a dynamic, strategic and visionary Director of Development to join our team. The successful candidate will lead our fund development strategy and build a circle of committed partners and donors to ensure a vibrant and sustainable organization. The Director of Development is a valued member of the management team and will be responsible for the development, direction and success of our partnerships with foundations and corporations. Our Director of Development will be passionate about our mission and lead our giving program, donor communications and relations, as well as develop active and productive relationships with donors, sponsors and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications or a related field
  • Experience in marketing, fundraising management, grant writing and public relations
  • Proven track record of building relationships and securing philanthropic commitments from individuals, corporations and foundations
  • Experience in volunteer management
  • Superior research, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent proposal writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, donor software and social media
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Outstanding leadership and teamwork abilities
  • A knowledge of and passion for disability issues

Salary: $66,000-$75,000 + benefit package. Travel throughout New Brunswick and use of own vehicle is required. Applicants will be interviewed will be interviewed as they apply. Only applicants invited for an interview will be contacted.
