About the Role

Reporting to the Manager, Solution Delivery, the Technology Quality Officer (TQO) supports strategic and operational quality assurance systems and processes. The TQO develops high level testing frameworks, principles, and policies and works with the business to drive continuous improvement related to quality assurance standards.

The TQO works within a larger governance model where the signoff of organizational direction rests with the Manager, Solution Delivery, the Director, Information Technology Services, and/or other project leaders as required. The TQO works within this model by exercising negotiation and influence to achieve project goals while satisfying the organization's standard of quality.

Under the direction of the Manager, Solution Delivery, the TQO executes quality assurance activities such as testing and managing requirements for multiple projects by working with IT, project and vendor teams. The TQO defines quality metrics, develops testing strategies, ensures appropriate documentation and reporting, identifies quality assurance risks and escalates issues and concerns as required. He/she is the primary point of contact for all those involved in the quality assurance process. The TQO provides guidance and expertise and escalates concerns as required to the Manager, Solution Delivery.

Your Experience & Skills

  • A university degree in computer science or a related field, such as mathematics, engineering or physics.
  • OR a university degree plus completion of a one (1) year certificate program in business computing from a recognized technical school.
  • OR graduation from a community college or technical school two (2) year or three (3) year program in business computing
  • AND a minimum of five (5) years in a dedicated quality assurance role with experience applying multiple industry standard quality frameworks; and three (3) years in a process or technical leadership role with experience applying automated and manual testing practices to specific projects.

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $73,209 - $91,452.
