Your main responsibilities

  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules, policies, and culture;
  • Manage and deliver Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), excess soil management projects, site remediation programs, hydrogeological studies, and related environmental investigations;
  • Prepare and review technical reports, environmental assessments, proposals, work plans, and regulatory submissions;
  • Develop project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and cost estimates while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget;
  • Coordinate and supervise field programs, including drilling, test pitting, groundwater monitoring, soil and groundwater sampling, and subcontractor activities;
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support to environmental scientists, technicians, and junior project staff;
  • Serve as a quality reviewer for environmental reports, deliverables, and project documentation;
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal environmental regulations and industry standards;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders while supporting business development opportunities;
  • Participate in team planning, resource allocation, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Environmental practice.

What makes you unique

  • University degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with demonstrated project management experience;
  • Experience managing Phase I and II ESAs, excess soil management, site remediation, and environmental due diligence projects;
  • Experience preparing proposals, project budgets, work plans, technical reports, and client deliverables;
  • Strong understanding of Ontario environmental regulations, including Record of Site Condition (RSC) processes and excess soil regulations;
  • Eligibility for, or membership with, Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO), Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or another applicable professional designation is considered an asset;
  • Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and client relationship skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing and proposal preparation;
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites throughout Ontario as required;
  • Demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
