The Opportunity

As a valued member of our Regional Engineering team in our Distribution Services Group at our St. John's location, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and managing overhead and underground line construction projects;
  • Providing technical leadership to construction crews and contractors;
  • Interacting with customers, councils and other regulatory bodies;
  • Preparing estimates and material lists for job preparation;
  • Preparing engineering reports to identify, evaluate, and make recommendations for system upgrades to improve the operability of the power system;
  • Assisting with the design and execution of other distribution engineering projects as required.

Your qualifications include:

  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma.
  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to execute technical tasks with particular attention to detail.
  • Being a highly motivated team player.
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD is required.

There is a residency requirement for this position, whereby your primary residence must be within 40 km of Duffy Place in St. John's.
