Team Lead, Fleet

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and coordination for Hydro's internal and external fleet maintenance, diesel maintenance, and operational readiness activities.
- Oversee fleet and diesel maintenance planning, including annual work plans, weekly schedules, work order gating, JD Edwards backlogs, priorities, compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain accurate fleet records for light fleet, heavy fleet and mobile equipment, using fleet management systems, GPS tools and asset data to support maintenance, utilization and deployment decisions.
- Supervise, coach and support Equipment Supervisors, Transportation Officers and Office Clerk, and provide fleet-related guidance to site service teams as required.
- Administer fleet-related contracts, including fuel, maintenance, standby and casual helicopter contracts, while acting as a key point of accountability for contract performance.
- Monitor maintenance requirements, vehicle pools, fleet utilization, capital tool needs, and repair-versus-replacement opportunities, making recommendations that support safe and responsible asset management.
- Support staffing, scheduling, hiring, performance management, collective agreement administration, and resource planning for the fleet maintenance team.
- Promote and support compliance with corporate safety, health, environmental and regulatory requirements, including Hydro's Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 14001 commitments, and perform other related duties as required.

What You'll Need:
- A bachelor's degree in business, commerce or engineering.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be given consideration.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible utility fleet maintenance experience, including relevant supervisory or management experience.
- Experience managing unionized personnel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, logistical operations, maintenance scheduling, and specialized and non-specialized equipment.
- Experience supervising teams, administering collective agreements, and supporting hiring, scheduling, resource planning and performance management processes.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, JD Edwards, maintenance programs and other corporate systems as required.
- Active membership or involvement in the Canadian Utility Fleet Council is considered an asset.
- Travel will be required throughout the province. Must have valid Drivers License.
