The incumbent helps promote and enforce the obligations arising from New Brunswick's Official Languages Act within the Network. They serve as a resource person for managers and employees on matters related to official languages and the active delivery of services in both official languages. They design and lead language learning activities tailored to the healthcare context, foster closer ties between language communities, and help implement the Network's strategic directions regarding official languages.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, languages, linguistics, public administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an administrative or coordination role;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Additional training in adult education, second-language teaching, project management, or process improvement is considered an asset;
  • Experience interpreting and applying policies, laws, or regulations related to official languages or bilingual services is considered an asset;
  • Experience in project management, activity coordination, or stakeholder engagement is considered an asset;
  • Experience in a health care or public-sector environment is considered an asset;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other software used within the Network (Adobe Acrobat Pro), as well as knowledge of collaborative and document management platforms (SharePoint);
  • Skills in group facilitation, awareness-raising, and change management support;
  • Ability to train, coach, and support adult learners;
  • Ability to draft, revise, and format administrative documents in both official languages;
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to ensure effective follow-up and meet deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish collaborative relationships with various stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, initiative, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
  • Analytical skills and ability to collect, interpret, and present data and recommendations;
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to continuous process improvement;
  • Attention to detail and rigour in applying standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
