The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Treasury & Corporate Finance co-op student to join our Treasury team in Toronto.

The role is hybrid and an 8, 12, or 18 months fixed term position starting in January 2027. This posting is for an existing position vacancy.

As a Treasury & Corporate Finance student, you'll gain hands-on exposure to treasury operations, financial analysis, cash and liquidity management, corporate finance, and financial risk management within a global organization.

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Support the preparation of recurring treasury and financial reports; analyze data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues; and assist with presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
• Help monitor daily cash positions, update short-term cash flow forecasts, support payment and receipt processes, and assist with bank account reconciliations and investigation of outstanding items.
• Support analyses of debt, liquidity, capital structure, funding alternatives, interest costs, and other corporate finance topics.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis related to foreign exchange, interest rate, counterparty credit, and liquidity risks, in accordance with established policies and controls.
• Help improve reports, controls, dashboards, and workflows using Excel, Microsoft Copilot, artificial intelligence, and other data-analysis or automation tools.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation, follow internal policies and procedures, and assist with audit or compliance requests.
• Contribute to treasury projects and cross-functional initiatives, prepare meeting materials, track agreed actions, and perform other relevant assignments.

About You

Education:

• Currently enrolled in your second year of a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Proactive attitude, curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, artificial intelligence, data visualization, automation tools, or enterprise systems is an asset.
