Position Overview
1911 Gold Corporation is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Database Manager who is responsible for the management, validation, security, and reporting of geological, geotechnical, sampling, and production data generated from the True North exploration and mine's operation. The role supports grade control, resource development drilling, reconciliation, mine planning, and resource estimation by ensuring that geological information is accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer the True North exploration and mine's geological databases.
- Import and validate production, grade control, exploration, and definition drilling data.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality assurance and quality control checks.
- Validate drillhole collar, downhole survey, assay, geological coding, and sampling data.
- Support underground mine geologists with data capture and reporting.
- Coordinate geological data collection from underground drilling programs.
- Ensure timely entry of face mapping, channel sampling, and production geology data.
- Generate routine reports for ground control, production reconciliation, resource development drilling and underground exploration programs.
- Prepare datasets for resource estimation and geological modeling.
- Produce drilling statistics and geological performance reports.
- Export validated data for geological and resource modeling.
- Support development of wireframes, block models, grade shells and resource estimation databases.
- Develop automated database workflows and validation routines.
- Improve data capture processes and reporting efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience & Skill Set
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology, GIS, Earth Sciences, Mining Engineering, Geoscience, Computer Science or related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in underground mining geology or geological database management.
- Experience in administration of Data base in exploration and underground mining operations.
- Experience managing large geological datasets from surface and underground drilling programs.
- Experience with the following or similar software/tools: MX Deposit, Datashed, Leapfrog Geo, QGis, Microsoft Suite, SQL Database Management, Power BI, Data Analytics & Reporting.

Work Location: This position is based at the True North Mine site. Camp accommodations and meals are provided during scheduled work rotations.
