SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Weekend, Other, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent performs professional work in the field of medical physics. They support clinical activities related to quality control, radiation protection, equipment maintenance and acquisition, and the implementation of new devices, software, and clinical techniques. They also contribute to the development, use, and maintenance of IT tools related to medical physics activities, particularly for documentation, data analysis, quality control monitoring, the automation of certain technical tasks, and support for clinical systems used in the department. The position also involves working outside regular hours to carry out certain quality assurance activities when clinical equipment is not in use.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in physics or a related discipline from a recognized university;
  • Relevant experience in a clinical, scientific, technical, or research environment-an asset;
  • Experience related to clinical equipment quality control, data analysis, use of specialized software, task automation, or support for IT tools applied to medical physics-an asset;
  • Experience with programming or scripting tools (notably Python) for data analysis, task automation, results validation, or the development of work tools-an asset;
  • Knowledge of medical physics, radiation protection, instrumentation, data analysis, or IT applied to the clinical setting-an asset;
  • Ability to perform quality control tests, document results, and rigorously track collected data;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite and other software applications used within the Network;
  • Ability to recognize one's professional limitations;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical reasoning;
  • Leadership and sound decision-making skills;
  • Adaptability and flexibility;
  • Initiative, autonomy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to set priorities;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physically able to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
