SCHEDULE: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

Vitalité Health Network is seeking internationally educated nurses who are passionate about their profession and wish to become registered with the New Brunswick College of Nursing (NBCN) in order to contribute to the health of our communities. Vitalité Health Network is an employer that offers rewarding opportunities and stimulating challenges.

Although individuals are initially hired as patient care assistants, Vitalité Health Network emphasizes that the ultimate goal remains their full integration as registered nurses. This transitional role will enable them to quickly integrate into the healthcare system, develop their knowledge, and put Vitalité Health Network's standards and values into practice. It will also facilitate their gradual transition into the nursing profession.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma;
  • Nursing degree (general nursing program);
  • At least one year of experience in a hospital setting;
  • Eligibility for the Nursing Transition and Re-entry Program (TRSI) offered by OPINB and a commitment to complete it.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.

For selected candidates, the following documents will be required:

  • Valid certificate in Immediate Resuscitation Care (SIR) (an asset);
  • Course-by-course evaluation of credentials from WES for the National Nursing Evaluation Service (SNEI) / Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC);
  • Results from a mandatory language test (minimum scores equal to or higher than the level required under the Canadian Language Benchmarks [CLB] for French in the following four language skills: reading comprehension, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking). OPINB accepts one of the following two tests:
    TEF Canada: Level 5 is now required for each of the four categories;
    TCF Canada: Level 7 is now required for each of the four categories.

NOTE: Vitalité Health Network can provide the necessary support, if needed, to obtain a work permit or permanent residence.
