Optometrist

Insight Optometry is an independent, full-scope, 7-doctor practice located in downtown Halifax, NS. We are seeking an optometrist to fulfil a near full-time position, 3-4 days per week, with additional vacation fill-in opportunity.

We boast a large and modern facility comprising of 9 exam lanes and a contemporary optical. We employ 8 opticians and 23 support staff, many of whom have been with our practice for years. Our office maintains standard diagnostic ophthalmic equipment such as Optomap Retinal Imaging, Meibox Meibographer, Zeiss OCT, Medmont Topographer, and Humphrey Automated Visual Fields. We perform several in-office treatments using iLux, Macumira, and Jett Plasma Pen. Additionally, we offer fittings of all contact lens modalities including orthokeratology, RGPs, and scleral contact lenses.

Patient service and satisfaction is our utmost priority. We actively engage in full-scope medical optometry, speciality contact lens fits, and dry eye management. We maintain an excellent working relationship with the ophthalmologists in our area who welcome our referrals.

Halifax is vibrant city that offers an impressive array of restaurants, pubs, waterfront boardwalk, theatres, and museums. With our numerous parks and trails, there are many options for outdoor enthusiasts without the long commute. And, of course, there is the ocean with all the amenities it has to offer.
