About the Role

Inspired Cannabis is looking for a District Manager to lead a group of retail stores and drive strong business results, exceptional customer experiences, and consistent operational standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coach and develop Store Managers, oversee district performance, and spend significant time in stores supporting teams and ensuring company priorities translate into strong execution.

You know how to balance people, performance, and operations. You use data to make decisions, set clear expectations, hold teams accountable, and build capable leaders who take ownership of their stores.

What You'll DoLead & Develop Your Team
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers to build engaged, accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance support.
  • Build leadership capability and support succession planning and internal development.
  • Partner with People and Culture on recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and retention.
  • Create a culture where strong performance is recognized and people are accountable for results.
Drive Business Performance
  • Own district sales, profitability, P&L, labour, and overall business performance.
  • Review store and district KPIs, including sales, ATV, UPT, SPLH, labour, shrink, customer reviews, and mystery shop results.
  • Identify trends and performance gaps and coach Store Managers to develop clear action plans.
  • Ensure Store Managers understand their business and use data to make informed decisions.
  • Hold stores accountable for achieving financial and operational targets.
Operational Excellence
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operations, customer experience, merchandising, inventory, compliance, and team performance.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards, policies, procedures, and promotions.
  • Monitor labour, inventory controls, and shrink and support stores in addressing opportunities.
  • Identify operational challenges and work with Store Managers to implement practical solutions.
  • Support new store openings, system implementations, training initiatives, audits, and other company-wide rollouts.
Customer Experience & Compliance
  • Champion a consistent, knowledgeable, and welcoming customer experience across the district.
  • Ensure stores operate in accordance with provincial cannabis regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor customer feedback and store standards and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Provide leadership and support during urgent operational or compliance situations.
Partner Across the Business
  • Act as a key connection between store teams and the broader organization.
  • Partner with Retail, Marketing, People and Culture, Finance, IT, Category Management, and other teams to execute business priorities.
  • Bring forward store feedback, opportunities, and risks to support better business decisions.
  • Adapt quickly as priorities change and keep teams aligned through periods of growth and change.
What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of multi-unit retail leadership experience, ideally as a District Manager, Area Manager, or similar role.
  • Proven experience coaching and developing Store Managers and multi-location teams.
  • Strong understanding of sales, P&L, labour, inventory, shrink, merchandising, and customer experience.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret KPIs and turn insights into action.
  • A track record of improving performance through coaching, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in cannabis or another highly regulated retail environment is preferred.
  • Experience with store openings, acquisitions, or large-scale operational rollouts is an asset.
  • Ability to obtain required provincial cannabis retail certifications.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the district, with approximately 70% of time spent visiting stores.
