Financial Controller

The Financial Controller is a senior leadership position responsible for the overall financial stewardship and financial reporting of Bidgood's Wholesale Limited, a local family-owned supermarket based in Goulds, NL.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee, lead and develop the finance team, including AP. You will also be directly responsible for the payroll function.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting ensuring accurate close processes and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversees the IT function and the point-of-sales system
• Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, credit facilities, and covenant/lender reporting.
• Coordinate corporate tax planning, GST/HST and payroll remittances, and CRA compliance with external advisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Business with a major in accounting.
• Ideally, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior finance role.
• Strong financial acumen, great interpersonal and team leadership skills.
