The Department of Social Development is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Executive and Operations Support Branch as a Receptionist in Central Office in Fredericton.

As a member of the Executive and Operations Support Branch as an Administrative Support, you will be responsible to provide a variety of administrative support services to the branch, division and zone offices for corporate related documents, processes.

The successful candidate may be responsible for the following:

  • Supporting the Ministerial Correspondence process as required
  • Coordinating translation requests
  • Receiving and processing staff ID card requests for the department
  • Preparing and submitting invoices for payment and tracking expenditures
  • Data entry, receiving, recording and sending files
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Performing other related duties as required. (i.e. scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, preparing and sending memos, supporting business continuity plans).

Need to have:

  • High school diploma or GED supplemented by successful completion of one (1) year post-secondary program in office technology, secretarial field or other post-secondary education in a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Nice to have:

Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • One (1) year experience in an office environment.

Salary: $1,872.00 - 2,218.00 bi-weekly
