­Project Manager

­Key Responsibilities:

  • ­Takes projects from original concept through to final implementation and transition to operations
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
  • Manages and takes accountability for project budgets and financial reporting

­What We're Looking For:

  • ­You have a proven track record in managing and supervising staff, excellent communications skills, strong interpersonal skills (including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff both internal and external)
  • Project management experience and the ability to work in a team environment.

­What You'll Need:

  • ­A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution. Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • You must be eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) as either a professional member or engineer-in-training.
  • A minimum seven (7) years work experience in project management, including all aspects of the project life cycle.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute would be considered an asset.
  • Experience managing Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, specifically JD Edwards, would be an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
