Human Resources/Labour Relations Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Employee Relations and Workforce Planning team, you will provide strategic advice, guidance and support on labour and employee-related matters, collective agreement and policy interpretation, and corrective action. You will participate in investigations, dispute resolution, grievance management, arbitration, and support negotiating various agreements including collective bargaining process. You will collaborate with other professionals including HR Business Partners, managers and union representatives and build strong relationships in support of implementing people solutions aligned with Hydro's policies, principles and values. You will support compliance of Hydro's corporate policies and standards of business conduct. You will have the highest regard for confidentiality and foster mutual respect in your dealings with diverse individuals. You are a high-impact communicator, exceptional listener and facilitator with the ability to convey key and critical information in an effective manner.
What You'll Need:
You have graduated with a Bachelor Degree of Commerce or Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the Human Resources and/or Labour Relations field. Master of Business Administration/Master of Employment Relations or CPHR designation would be an asset. You must have strong interpersonal skills and have a demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work effectively to prioritize and manage competing priorities. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Ideally this position would reside in our Corporate Office; however, we may be able to consider requests to work from one of our other locations within the province. Travel to Hydro's various locations in Newfoundland and Labrador may be required.
