In this role, you will:

  • Produce high-quality donor-facing visual assets across print and digital channels, including reports, presentations, infographics, social graphics, print collateral and other communications materials that support fundraising, stewardship and donor engagement.
  • Adapt, format and prepare production-ready creative assets for multiple channels and audiences, ensuring technical accuracy, accessibility and alignment with established brand standards and creative direction.
  • Support the development of visual communications solutions, including layouts, illustrations, templates and other design assets, working collaboratively with writers, designers and cross-functional partners to bring ideas to life
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across all deliverables, applying strong attention to detail while proofreading, reviewing and refining creative assets for accuracy, brand alignment and visual excellence
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and production requests, communicating proactively on timelines, workload and priorities while contributing to efficient and effective team workflows.
  • Maintain and improve creative systems, templates and asset libraries, supporting knowledge sharing, file organization, production efficiencies and continuous improvement across the Creative Services team.
  • Contribute to team planning, collaboration and creative problem-solving, participating in brainstorming sessions and bringing a solutions-oriented mindset to projects and processes
  • Build expertise in Canadian Red Cross design standards, tools and emerging industry trends, applying new knowledge and skills to strengthen creative execution and donor communications

What we are looking for:

  • Postsecondary education in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field, combined with 4-7 years of experience in graphic design, production design, layout design, or visual communications. Equivalent combinations of education, training and experience will be considered. Experience preparing production-ready files for print and digital applications is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and other relevant tools (Figma, Canva, Miro, Monday.com, HubSpot). Relevant technical certifications, software training or professional designations are considered an asset.
  • Strong visual design, layout and production skills, with the ability to create and adapt high-quality creative assets across print, digital, presentation and social media channels while maintaining brand consistency and technical accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, visual judgement and quality-control skills, with the ability to proof and refine materials to ensure accuracy, accessibility and a polished final product.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment, while remaining adaptable, organized and responsive to changing business needs.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with writers, designers, stakeholders and clients, translate needs into effective design solutions, and incorporate feedback professionally.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift quickly, including supporting emergency fundraising and disaster response-related communications, and occasionally working extended hours during peak periods or emergency activations,
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new design trends, technologies and production practices, with a continuous-improvement mindset and a desire to contribute to team processes and creative innovation and a passion for using design to create meaningful experiences that strengthen donor engagement and support humanitarian impact.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Effort: No unusual physical requirements.
  • Sensory & Mental Effort: Requires concentration, attentiveness, and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and respond to time sensitive needs.
  • Work will be conducted in an office-like setting.
  • May require travel to safe locations; limited exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Work requires the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Work requires interactions with a wide range of clients and stakeholders as well as the ability to incorporate feedback professionally and effectively.
  • In a large-scale emergency, where staff numbers are compromised or additional resources are required, provide disaster relief and/or emergency field operational support.
  • Will be required to work extended hours during peak periods on short notice.
