This is an opportunity for someone who wants to lead meaningful commercial projects, work alongside experienced construction professionals, and be part of a growing company where leadership, accountability, and teamwork matter.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

As a Site Superintendent, you'll oversee daily site operations from project start-up through closeout while working closely with Project Managers, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams.

You'll be trusted to:

  • Lead and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
  • Manage subcontractors, site crews, schedules, and daily workflow.
  • Maintain project quality, safety, and productivity standards.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is executed correctly.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to keep projects moving forward.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety requirements and company standards.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding progress, risks, and site updates.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including deficiencies and final site turnover.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction site supervision.
  • Must be based in or near the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and willing to travel throughout the Maritimes as required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and construction reporting tools.
  • Experience with Procore is considered an asset.
