What you will do:
Reporting to the Park Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering recreational and special event programming that enhances the visitor experience at Sugarloaf Provincial Park.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing, organizing and implementing Park events and recreational activities
- Creating seasonal activities for visitors of all ages
- Coordinating the development and delivery of activities with supervisors and the Park Manager
- Coordinating event logistics, including equipment, supplies, facilities and permits
- Developing activities that promote the Park's natural and cultural resources
- Assisting in promoting events through social media, websites, posters and other communications
- Working with Tourism partners, community groups and local organizations
- Ensuring a safety action plan is prepared and approved prior to any activity
- Providing directions and support during program delivery
- Performing other tasks as required

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Required Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Management, Tourism, Event Management, Outdoor Recreation, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience OR a Post-secondary Diploma in Recreation Management, Tourism, Event Management, Outdoor Recreation, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience
- Experience in coordinating events, recreational programming, community engagement, or tourism-related activities
- Strong event planning and organizational skills
- Valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Pay Band 3 - $2,067.00 to $2,889.00 biweekly
Work environment:
- Office location: Sugarloaf Provincial Park
- Working evenings, weekends, holidays, shifts and variable hours according to assigned schedule
- Occasional travel throughout the province may be required
