Title: Forklift Operator (Food Manufacturing)
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Pay Rate: $21.50/hour

Shift: Must be flexible to work Days, Afternoons & Nights, weekends inclusive (Shift start times may vary based on production needs.)
Training: July 26th (Day Shift)

Our client, is a leading food manufacturing company in Etobicoke specializing in high-quality baked goods. They are currently seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join their warehouse team. This role is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced GMP food production environment.

Job Duties:

  • Operate Counterbalance, 2-Long, and Walkie forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Offload incoming trailers and inspect shipments for accuracy
  • Stage raw materials and finished products for production and shipping
  • Wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
  • Follow FIFO procedures and maintain accurate inventory movement
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following GMP and food safety standards
  • Work closely with production and warehouse teams to support daily operations
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Valid external forklift certifications in Counterbalance, 2-Long, and Walkie (in-house certifications are not accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent forklift operating experience
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or GMP environment is required
  • Experience loading and unloading trailers
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing shift start times based on production requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be reliable with excellent attendance
  • Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
