Victoria Manor is seeking a dedicated Environmental Worker to help maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities in Amherst, NS. This in-person role involves custodial tasks aimed at creating and sustaining a healthy, hygienic environment for our community.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate supplies and equipment.
• Ensure surfaces are sanitized according to health standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and fixtures regularly.
• Follow safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels and soap as needed.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling in compliance with environmental policies.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

What We're Looking For

• Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and handling procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable work ethic focused on safety and efficiency.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including standing, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and walking throughout large facilities.
