NEW BRUNSWICK HOUSING CORPORATIONHOUSING DEVELOPMENT SPECIALISTOPEN COMPETITION (1 YEAR OPPORTUNITY)
The New Brunswick Housing Corporation (NBHC) is seeking a candidate to join the Central Office Housing team as a Housing Development Specialist. The NBHC is focused on working with all levels of government, community groups, organizations, and the private sector to identify and maximize housing development opportunities while providing support through our housing strategy to positively impact New Brunswickers.
As part of the Housing NB Central Office team, the successful candidate will have flexibility to work either on-site or remotely. The position will require occasional travel within the province as needed. Key responsibilities include administering the Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Programs (RRAP), including Rental & Rooming House RRAP, RRAP Conversion, and the Shelter Enhancement Program.
This position involves establishing effective working relationships with persons both within and outside the Corporation. The successful candidate will be required to liaise with developers, landlords, non-profit groups, community groups, and different levels of government (Federal and Municipal) in order to deliver the RRAP programs. The individual will also be expected to represent Housing NB on various internal and external committees, as well as make presentations about the programs. Reviewing project proposals and financial documents to confirm viability, tracking, monitoring, and ensuring that projects are completed in a timely manner will also be a requirement of the role. Other duties may be assigned as required.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from University at the bachelor level and three (3) years of related work experience. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Written and spoken competence in both English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires some travel within the province. A valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick will be required and have access to reliable transportation.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in the following asset qualification:
- Financial Analysis and experience reading financial statements;
- Experience working in Housing Development.

Salary: $70 538 to $86 502 per annum
