Our Calgary office is hiring a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the team

Your main responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight, project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analyses for engineering studies ranging from simple to complex projects.
- Demonstrate experience working within a Canadian consulting environment and interacting effectively with clients
- Prepare and/or review geotechnical reports, specifications and other deliverables related to a variety of projects, including energy, institutional, transportation, industrial, commercial, communications and residential developments.
- Strong technical writing skills with minimal to no oversight are required
- Design project-specific field investigation programs and laboratory testing programs to meet project and deliverable requirements
- Conduct slope stability analyses and perform shallow and deep foundation designs
- Conduct settlement analyses
- Perform geotechnical assessments utilizing computer-aided design and analysis software
- Contribute to proposal preparation and report writing
- Review proposals and reports prepared by junior engineers
- Foster client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including acting in a technical advisory capacity and participating in both internal and external project meetings
- Provide leadership, guidance and tehnical mentorship to junior team members
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

- University degree in Geotechnical , Civil and Geological Engineering; Masters degree is an asset
- 10 years of applicable Geotechnical engineering experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities
- Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can provide technical managements to a team of engineers and technicians
- Excellent communication and written skills as you will be fostering client relationships
- Must understand the Canadian standards and be familiar with local and regional geology
- Must have working knowledge in Geo-studio Slope/W, Seep/W and Sigma/W
- Having a working knowledge in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
