Facility Rentals & Catering Coordinator - East Hants Sportsplex

We are currently hiring for a Facility Rentals & Catering Coordinator at the East Hants Sportsplex.

This role manages bookings for facility rentals, builds strong relationships with user groups and patrons of the Sportsplex, coordinates food services and liquor operations for the café, ensures compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, and ensures compliance with all regulated licences.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a university degree in Recreation Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Several years of related experience, including experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a sport or food services environment considered an asset.
• Organized, can manage time effectively, and strong attention to detail to complete scheduling tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with user groups and patrons of a sports and events facility.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite; Recreation or Financial Software experience would be an asset.
• Ability to contribute to a positive, customer service-oriented culture, and able to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work a schedule of Monday - Friday 11 am - 7 pm, and be present for support during large events and activities at the facility.
• Clean Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
• Understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in a customer focused environment.

Annual salary: $59,250 - $74,063
