Meridia Recruitment Solutions is pleased to partner with Paramount Power Systems to recruit a Project Manager to join their team in Mississauga, Ontario. This is an active vacancy created to support the company's continued growth and expanding project portfolio.

Role Description

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of generator package projects, from design handoff through commissioning and final project closeout. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, you will coordinate activities across the Production, Commissioning, and Shipping teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements.

In this role, you will oversee project schedules, technical documentation, testing activities, regulatory inspections, and customer communications while proactively identifying risks and resolving issues that may impact project performance. Success in this position requires strong project management skills, technical aptitude, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full project lifecycle from design handoff through commissioning and project closeout.
  • Tracking project milestones and providing regular progress updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with Design and Production teams to ensure customer requirements are executed within project scope.
  • Reviewing and coordinating shop drawings and technical documentation for customer approval.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for customers throughout each project.
  • Coordinating factory testing schedules and supporting commissioning, startup, testing, and final turnover activities.
  • Issuing factory test reports and commissioning certificates upon successful completion.
  • Coordinating ESA and TSSA inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Managing project schedules, communicating revisions, and addressing customer concerns or warranty-related issues.
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinating equipment procurement, deliveries, and shipment schedules with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, ERP records, submittals, and KPI reporting.
  • Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with company safety standards and procedures.

Your Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you are a highly organized project management professional who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. You have strong stakeholder management capabilities, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. You are equally comfortable collaborating with technical teams, managing customer expectations, and driving projects through to successful completion.

Your qualifications include:

  • Postsecondary education in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of project management experience within manufacturing, electrical, construction, power generation, or a related industry.
  • Proven experience managing complex, high-value projects.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and commissioning processes.
  • Experience creating and reviewing technical drawings and shop drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
  • Experience working with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage customer escalations and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities successfully.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of ESA, TSSA, and other applicable regulatory requirements is considered an asset.
