- Salary range: $55,000.00 to $73,000.00*

We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team based in the Firm's Fredericton office.

The Opportunity:
The Firm's Desktop Support Technician is responsible for delivering technical support to members at all levels of the organization while ensuring exceptional client service. Reporting to the Manager, IT Client Services, this role provides support for a broad range of systems and applications, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, NetDocuments, Citrix, mobile devices, and other firm-specific software. The successful candidate will respond to helpdesk requests, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, install and maintain hardware and software, support desktop and mobile device deployments, and ensure timely resolution or escalation of issues while maintaining clear and professional communication with clients.
Additionally, the Desktop Support Technician will support desktops, laptops, virtual machines, printers, telephones, mobile devices, and related peripherals across the Firm's networked environment. Responsibilities include analyzing and resolving complex technical issues, performing hardware upgrades, maintaining IT asset inventories, managing equipment deployments and office moves, and contributing to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The role also involves working with security technologies, including mobile device management, multifactor authentication, and encryption solutions, while collaborating with colleagues, vendors, and third-party service providers to ensure the reliable operation of the Firm's desktop environment. Participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours support is required. This role will also be required to travel once a week to our Moncton office for in person support.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, along with strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, desktop hardware, mobile devices, and IT security practices. Experience supporting users in a fast-paced, multi-office environment, combined with excellent troubleshooting, communication, organization, and client service skills is essential.
