Are you an experienced payroll professional who enjoys helping businesses stay organized, compliant, and running smoothly? Our consulting firm is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to provide payroll support across multiple client accounts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes, and who can confidently support a variety of businesses with payroll administration and compliance needs. You will work with different clients across industries, helping ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with Canadian payroll requirements.
What You'll Do
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will:
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for client employees and contractors
- Review timesheets, hours worked, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to ensure payroll accuracy
- Support payroll setup and administration for new and existing client accounts
- Maintain payroll records and employee information within payroll system
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and documentation
- Respond to payroll-related questions from clients and employees in a professional and timely manner
- Support year-end payroll activities, including tax slips and related documentation
- Help ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation and best practices
- Identify payroll process improvements and recommend more efficient workflows where appropriate
What You Bring
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in payroll coordination, payroll administration, bookkeeping, or a related role OR
- Equivalent education/training in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
This role is well suited for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexible contract work or someone looking to supplement existing consulting or bookkeeping work.
