JOB TYPE: Temporary full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent participates in the planning and implementation of departmental or program activities, which may include quality improvement initiatives. They supervise professional and support staff, perform various administrative tasks such as policy and procedure reviews, work reviews, performance evaluations, participation in staff recruitment, and statistical analysis. They coordinate training activities for interns and departmental staff. The incumbent acts as a clinical consultant and performs clinical work, including assessments, clinical treatments, and consultations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Member in good standing with the Regulatory College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of New Brunswick (RCASLPNB);
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a recognized university;
  • At least one (1) year of relevant clinical experience;
  • Relevant progressive professional experience during which leadership skills have been demonstrated;
  • Knowledge of software commonly used within the Network;
  • Interest in pursuing personal and professional development as necessary to meet the requirements of the position;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a high degree of autonomy;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven ability to adapt to change;
  • Leadership, initiative, and sound clinical judgment;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
