In this role you will:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a busy office environment
  • Manage incoming calls on a multi-line telephone, which includes voicemail management
  • Accurately enter information into a database and process requests with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Support volunteers in their regular duties
  • Liaise with health care professionals
  • Select appropriate equipment from a warehouse and ensure referral completeness
  • Regularly use computer applications such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel
  • Manage referral volume and schedule equipment pick-up with clients as well as processing requests for taxi and courier pick-up
  • Contact clients about outstanding equipment to ensure inventory replenishment

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of two (2) years client service experience, particularly in an office environment
  • Experience working with volunteers is an asset
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with databases and multi-line telephones are an asset
  • The ability to calmly and flexibly manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A flexible schedule that can accommodate short notice shift coverage

Working conditions:

  • All work will be performed in an office and warehouse hybrid environment which will require the use of closed-toe shoes at all times.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 Ibs
  • This is a casual position. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary. Hours will be allocated on an as-needed basis to meet operational requirements.
  • Shifts may vary from 3 - 7 hours and will be performed between 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
