Engineering Specialist

Title: Engineering Specialist - Direct Hire

Location: South Guelph, ON

Wage: $85,000 annually

Shift: Days (Hybrid)

We are seeking a skilled Structural Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. This direct hire role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional with experience in structural analysis, mechanical design, and engineered solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, review, and development of structural and mechanical components while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Job Description:

• Provide HVAC design and calculations for air structures
• Develop preliminary designs of foundation and the superstructure
• Prepare specifications and select HVAC equipment and materials
• Implement process/design improvements and efficiencies for structures
• Support external Structural P. Eng for review and seal
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve related issues
• Utilize AutoCAD and 3D modeling

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in a structural engineering role
• No P. Eng required; however, the ability to pursue is an asset and supported
• Post-secondary engineering education, preferably in structural engineering
• Working knowledge of Canadian energy codes, standards, and policies (both provincial and national)
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D modeling is an asset
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organization and attention to detail
