Job Title: Sanitation Worker

Location: Sackville, NB

Pay: $19/hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed

Processing Season:

• Shift start time: 6:00 PM
• Shift end: Upon completion of all assigned cleaning and sanitation duties

Fresh Cranberry Receiving Season:

• Shift start time: 10:00 PM
• Shift end: Upon completion of all cleaning and sanitation requirements
• Additional hours may be required due to increased equipment and machinery cleaning needs

Job Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and reliable sanitation cleaners to join our client's team in Sackville. The ideal candidates will be provided with paid training, including WHMIS Certification, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training, Production Line Cleaning, and Sanitation. Training will take place alongside the existing sanitation crew following the processing shift. Hours will be flexible, depending on the season. This role has an opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, sanitize, and inspect processing equipment, machinery, and production lines.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for thorough cleaning.
• Use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow established sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, or sanitation deficiencies to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work evening and overnight shifts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, lifting, and working around cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Previous sanitation, cleaning, manufacturing, or food processing experience is considered an asset but is not required.
