Definition of Work:
This position requires a high degree of motivation, organization, and communication skills to support the fast-paced environment of a medical clinic. The Clerk Typist II will be responsible for scanning functions, ongoing maintenance of CorCare, Telehealth, data entry, registration processes, reception, communication, and management of information flow, and other related clerical duties as assigned. The incumbent will be required to travel throughout the Port aux Basques/Southwest Coast Health Neighborhood Areas. Mileage and appropriate per diems will be paid in accordance with the CUPE Collective agreement.
Qualifications: Completion of a two-year, full-time office administration program or a 1 year Office Administration diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a medical clinic setting is required. A typing speed of 40 words per minute and medical terminology are also required.
In the event no suitable candidate is found with the above noted qualifications, other levels of experience and training may be considered for this position.
