HIAA seeks its next Senior Manager, Airside Services, a leadership role that is central to the safe and efficient operation of the airport's airside areas. This role provides technical and managerial leadership to the airside maintenance teams, ensuring key priorities are aligned, staff are well supported, and operational standards are consistently met. As Senior Manager, Airside Services, you will lead a diverse team, oversee airfield maintenance, ensure compliance with airfield-specific and Occupational Health & Safety requirements, and help advance the reliability, safety, and performance of the airport.

Reporting to the Director, Operations, this role provides direction, coaching, and support to a dynamic team, while overseeing departmental priorities, resource planning, budgets, and capital program processes. You will establish priorities in consultation with the Director, Operations and other department managers, prepare business unit input for goals, work plans, and budgets, and participate in key committees including WH&S, Safety Management Systems, and airside operational safety forums. You will also support human resources decision-making related to recruitment, performance, and help build the team's capability, engagement, and accountability.

The ideal candidate is an experienced airside operations professional who brings a diploma or technical degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with at least five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience. They bring strong working knowledge of airside operations and relevant regulatory requirements, including the Canadian Aviation Regulations, TP312 4th and 5th editions, and the Incident Command System. Experience with airfield operations and/or fleet maintenance is important, and Incident Command System experience will be considered an asset. Recognized for leading and motivating diverse teams, managing budgets, analyzing financial trends, building strategic working relationships, facilitating change, communicating with different audiences, and resolving conflict, they bring a collaborative, safety-focused, and service-oriented approach to their work.
