In this role, you will:
- Responsible for the sourcing and procurement of diversified commodities and/ or services on a competitive basis and to provide daily, tactical management of suppliers, ensuring on-time deliveries of quality products and/or services.
- Accountable to National Procurement for all purchasing activities related to the EMSAC contract, locally in Winnipeg. The Agent communicates effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders and holds suppliers accountable to meet or exceed CRC's expectations, terms, and conditions.
- Collects, analyzes, and compiles data for sourcing, compliance, and updates purchasing data in CRC's ERP system.
- Update vendor data in the system if applicable. The Agent will be assigned to provide support within The EMSAC program specifically. and not provide support to other areas.
- The Agent will be the face to the vendor and main resource for guidance on procurement processes and procurement needs of the assigned Programs. The Agent will be closely working with local vendors, stakeholders, and internal partners.
- The incumbent will report into the Procurement Manager. The Agent will be dotted line to the local Senior Logistics Specialist.
- The Agent is also involved in Third Party Risk Management and Vendor Monitoring as part of the Vendor Governance program.
- The position also supports and facilitates the negotiations and issuance of vendor agreements.
What we are looking for :
- Minimum three years of related work experience in supply chain or procurement, and degree/ courses in purchasing/procurement, resource planning and control, supply chain management and logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of financial concepts and principals a great asset.
- Strong understanding of CRC programs and services is an asset.
- Good knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and best practices.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Great attention to detail.
- Strong working relationships with vendors as well as other CRC personnel.
- Ability to work effectively with clients both in person and remotely.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Working conditions:
- May be required to work non-traditional hours, be on-call, and respond to emergency/disaster related requests full time, especially during response.
