We are seeking a permanent, full-time Regional Marketing & Communications Coordinator to provide day-to-day coordination and execution of the firm's marketing and communications efforts across all provinces.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the development of creative assets by writing briefs, liaising with the firm's creative agencies, and tracking timelines and expenses.
- Write targeted, compelling and on-brand content for marketing and communications materials including website, social media, media releases, advertising and speaking notes.
- Support the firm's social media efforts, including drafting and posting timely content and engagement, graphics creation, monitoring engagement activity and maintaining a content calendar.
- Make timely website updates, coordinate troubleshooting and regularly track website analytics to measure performance.
- Coordinate awards submissions, including tracking key dates, conducting research, writing submissions, and ensuring specifications and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate industry directory updates across all offices, including tracking key dates and ensuring criteria and deadlines are met.
- Work with local offices to ensure all content and collateral align with the firm's brand positioning, tone of voice and graphic standards.
- Coordinate advertising media buys, including scheduling, purchase and final file delivery.
- Source and coordinate the ordering and distribution of branded promotional items.
- Provide administrative support to the department, including processing expenses, coordinating meetings and travel, assistance with event setup, packaging and shipping materials, completing errands and other, as needed.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- A University degree or diploma in marketing, communications/public relations, business, or a related field.
- Experience working in a law firm, professional services environment and/or advertising or communications agency is considered an asset.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Marketing Coordinator or equivalent role.
- Experience with effectively using social media.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
- Experience with website management (WordPress), social media tools (Hootsuite) and graphic design (Canva).
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-starter, resourceful, demonstrates initiative and strong work ethic.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to independently meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
This position is based in Halifax, NS and offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a mix of in-office and remote work based on business needs.
