We are currently seeking a dynamic and industry‑experienced professional to join us as an Instructor, Wind and Solar Energy Technician in the School of Engineering Technologies

Duration: July 2026 to June 2027
Location: Saint John
Salary: $2,454.00 to $3,776.00 bi-weekly
As part of the School of Engineering Technologies and reporting to the Academic Chair, you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas may include, but may not be limited to:
- Introduction to Wind Energy
- Wind Turbine Electrical
- Wind Turbine Mechanics
- Wind Turbine Hydraulics
- Wind Turbine Maintenance
- Other related subjects as required
The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Wind Turbine Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering) with recent and related industry work experience.
- The successful candidate must possess a recognized Trade Certification, Technologist/Technician Diploma, or Degree relevant to Wind Energy or Power Generation Systems; Instructional certification or willingness to obtain would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrated experience working in wind energy operations and maintenance, industrial environments, or renewable energy systems, including strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
- Preference given to candidates with a combination of teaching/training experience, industry certifications, and experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, or maintaining wind turbines.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Assets:
- Minimum of three years of related and recent work experience.
- Experience working in a post-secondary environment.
