Who are you?

  • You have a university degree and a minimum of four or more years of relevant work experience **An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.**
  • You have experience in conducting research, identifying, and evaluating potential solutions to problems, presenting recommendations, and working with others to implement approved courses of action
  • Knowledge of New Brunswick's economy would be an asset
  • You are recognized for your attention to detail, organization skills and ability to exercise sound judgement to prioritize deliverables
  • You thrive when working on multiple projects and are recognized for delivering outstanding work within tight deadlines
  • You enjoy collaborating with a dynamic team and are continuously seeking ways to add value
  • You are recognized for your ability to work autonomously and achieve results with minimal supervision

As a Policy Analyst at ONB, you will:

  • Report to the Manager of Policy & Strategic Initiatives
  • Develop understanding of economic and business growth opportunities and challenges
  • Support ONB and GNB economic and business growth objectives through developing thoughtful, collaborative and strategic approaches
  • Conduct research
  • Analyze data (hard and soft)
  • Synthesize data into options and recommendations
  • Produce clear and concise written proposals based on your research and analysis
  • Provide advice to management, executive and elected officials.

Language:

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Location and hours:

This position will be based in Fredericton, with occasional work beyond regular business hours (8:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
