Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Markham, Ontario. This hybrid role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in supporting our firm's financial health and contributing to our collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
- Manage invoicing and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
- Provide support during audits and assist with tax preparation.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in an accountancy setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
