Position Summary
Rodney Enterprises Limited is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Division 10 Specialties Installer to join our installation team. This position is responsible for the installation of commercial specialty products on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to company and project standards. The ideal candidate will have construction experience, strong attention to detail, the ability to read drawings, and a willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Division 10 specialty products, including but not limited to:
- Toilet partitions
- Washroom accessories
- Lockers
- Fire extinguisher cabinets
- Visual display boards
- Operable walls
- Security Grills
- Wall protection
- Cubicle curtains and tracks
- Other specialty products as required
- Review drawings, layouts, site measurements, and installation instructions before beginning work.
- Measure, layout, drill, fasten, level, and adjust products to ensure proper installation.
- Inspect materials before installation and report any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, general contractors, and other trades as required.
- Complete deficiencies and service work in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and job site safety requirements.
- Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Complete paperwork, site reports, photos, time sheets, and other documentation as required.
- Represent the company professionally while on site.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, installation, carpentry, or commercial site experience preferred.
- Experience installing Division 10 products is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, elevations, and details.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, levels, measuring tapes, laser levels, and related equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work within project schedules.
- Valid driver's licence required.
- Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach, and work overhead as required.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites.
- Ability to use ladders, lifts, or other access equipment when required.
- Ability to work in varying site conditions.
Safety Requirements
- Must follow all company and site-specific safety policies.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment.
- WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid, and other safety training are considered assets.
- Must report hazards, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
