Network Administrator

Maritime Electric Company, Limited is seeking candidates for the position of:

Network Administrator

Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure & Development, the Network Administrator is responsible for the implementation and administration of networks and systems needed to support corporate, district, and SCADA business requirements. The successful candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain network and systems infrastructure across corporate, district, and SCADA environments including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless, VPN, traffic logging, and centralized management platforms.
• Investigate incidents and outages end-to-end: triage, root-cause, remediate, and document.
• Perform vulnerability management against published standards (NIST) and produce remediation recommendations.
• Investigate security alerts and work with our cybersecurity partners on threat hunting and analysis.
• Evaluate systems design for effectiveness, security, cost, and reliability and make the case for changes when something isn't working.
• Mentor and develop the Infrastructure Support Technicians; serve as escalation point and technical authority.
• Test and validate security controls before they go to production.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Computer Networking, Network Security, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years in network and/or server administration in a multi-site environment.
• Strong working knowledge with Fortinet, Cisco, routing and switching fundamentals, and segmentation in security-sensitive networks.
• Demonstrated experience with vulnerability management and security controls testing.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable taking the lead on complex problems.

This position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $94,500 per annum. Qualified individuals may submit a complete resume confidentially to Human Resources at [email protected] by June 26, 2026.
