We're looking for an innovative and creative team player to join the Innovation and Transformation Team as a Client Content Specialist. In this role, you'll help make Department of Social Development programs and services easier to understand and access for the individuals and families who need them. Your work will contribute directly to improving the client experience, a strategic priority for the Department of Social Development. You'll focus on creating simple, accessible, and thoughtful communication, both digital and non-digital, so New Brunswickers have the information they need to navigate services, apply for support programs, and access resources when they need them. Integrating user-centred design principles to create simple, impactful materials that address key client needs. Together with the Chief Experience Officer and a variety of teams, you will play a vital role in empowering citizens and ensuring the materials provided reflect the department's commitment to inclusive and user-friendly communication.

As the Client Content Specialist, you'll be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining content that is warm, easy to follow, and intentional. Your work will focus on enhancing clarity, accessibility, and usability while supporting the people who rely on us. For example; Kinship Care in New Brunswick: A Guide for Kinship Families and Aging in New Brunswick Guide.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and improving content on www.socialsupportsnb.ca, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
  • Exploring new content and features to help expand support for New Brunswickers, whether they are new clients or already receiving services.
  • Collaborating with 211 New Brunswick to ensure aligned and consistent communications.
  • Writing new content and creating accessible, plain language materials, such as guides, brochures, e-newsletters, letters, and website content, designed to provide timely and actionable information.
  • Reviewing client communications (digital and non-digital) to ensure they reflect a clear, concise, and welcoming tone.
  • Monitoring and analyzing Google Analytics and client experience metrics to continuously improve content.

Need to have:

This work requires:

  • Excellent plain language writing skills and design skills and proficiency in Graphic design or content styling, experience using Adobe Creative Suite /Creative Cloud tools including InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat DC, content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.
