Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Human Resources for Labour Relations, this position consults with program/department(s) in the area of labor management including providing advice on policy and collective agreement interpretations; facilitating the internal grievance process and negotiating dispute resolutions; leading workplace and harassment investigations that may involve recommending disciplinary action or workplace change assessments, representing the Employer at Collective Bargaining, and other employee relations issues.

Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor Degree in Business Administrative/Commerce with a specialization in Labour Relations/Human Resource Management is required.
CPHR certification is an asset.

Experience
Minimum of two years of human resources experience in a unionized environment is required.
Experience in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements and resolving labour relations issues through a grievance process with involvement in leading mediation and / or arbitration processes
Experience leading investigations and facilitating conflict resolution sessions.

Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage high volumes of work with multiple and competing priorities/deadlines.
Demonstrated negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
Ability to work independently and to use discretion and good judgment in decision making.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team environment.

Other Requirements
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
